Roundup today is over 20% LESS expensive than last month, and we expect low prices to last through Sept. 19!

Each fall, it is now common to find the best deal of the year on glyphosate.  The main reason why is because glyphosate manufacturing plants want to run 365 days a year, and they don’t have large terminals they own or are willing to pay for to store product until you need it again next spring.  Their best option is to discount the product and move it out the door today.  If you want what will likely be the best deal within the next 12 months, PAY FOR AND PICK UP your Roundup before harvest.

Normally, we also find a seasonal low for generic glyphosate at this time of year, too, but that will most likely come next spring or summer as we expect Chinese production to increase.  If this makes you think Roundup will be less expensive, it is certainly possible, but highly unlikely.  You see, Roundup sales should be up again this year due to the very large rebate programs between many other herbicides and Roundup.  Monsanto has more rebates than last year, and there is no way generics will ever get to a low net equaling the Roundup price minus the rebates.  In fact, generic glyphosate today is slightly higher priced than Roundup even BEFORE the rebates.  Plus, Monsanto has financing for their chemical and seed products at very low rates beginning now.

In addition to Roundup, there are also deals to be had right now on products like Halex GT, Liberty, and others.  Most manufacturers have fill programs, so many retailers pass those programs on – usually on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Because of this, we encourage you to talk to your retailer BEFORE HARVEST if you want the very best prices of the year.
