By Brian Hefty

A couple months ago, I went to Georgia to visit Randy Dowdy’s farm, and that was one of the highlights of my summer. If you are not familiar with Randy, he is the current world-record holder for soybean yield (171 bushels per acre), and he has raised over 500 bushel corn. Yes, you may not have the same soil or weather Randy does, so 500 bushel corn and 170 bushel soybeans may not be in the cards for you anytime soon. That said, there are so many things you can pick up from Randy, we know you will enjoy hearing him speak, even if you’ve heard him before. At our local field days, he will be going through, first-hand, some corn and soybean plots and talking about what he sees, both good and bad.

Also, Brian or Darren will be at each of these field days to talk about dicamba and Xtend, what we’ve learned on other agronomic issues this summer, as well as some of the new products and pricing you can expect for 2018. We will have a free meal at each event, and we would love to answer any of your agronomic questions, too. We know you are busy, but you won’t want to miss this fun and educational, in-field session with Randy Dowdy and Brian or Darren
